Host: What kinds of food should I make for Valentine's Day?

Gloria McDonald: If you are cooking Valentine's Day dinner at home, you can obviously do the standard things where you are going to have a chocolate cake and things that are -- or chocolate of some type for dessert and every food magazine will have some type of new Valentine's dinner menu in their magazine and maybe you want to try something new; but you can do other things too. Let us say your partner's favorite dinner is macaroni and cheese. Well, do macaroni and cheese with red food coloring in it or something like that or just cook what is your partner's favorite meal and have it be a surprise or try something totally different, an entirely new menu that does not necessarily have anything to do with Valentine's Day.

You can make it as elegant as you want or as simple as you want and the thing is really about what is going to make you and your partner happy. That is the most important thing.
