Host: Why do you need to test your blood sugar?
Kathy Reily: Blood sugar testing is important because blood sugar varies from person to person with diabetes and it will also vary through the day. We generally recommend people test their blood sugar in the morning when they get out before eating and this tells us how the blood sugar was controlled through the night.
