Hi, I am Mark McClain. In this last clip, we are going to give you a demonstration on the texturing and to finish it, final tips on some painting. We are going to show you how to do what is called the Skip Trial Texture. We are going to put the mud into our pan, pat the knife against the side of the pan, back-clean the back of the knife, lay it down and just let it glide it across the tip of the board. Now, we are going to go ahead and dip it again, back-clean the knife and go ahead and run it across the board. This can be done to achieve any kind of thickness, the different variations in your texture. You can make it heavier, you can make it lighter and you can go ahead and do this as much as you like to match whatever existing texture you have. I am going to let that dry for a few minutes and then we will come back and trial it down. Now, that we have waited a few minutes, we are going to go ahead and trial this back down the opposite direction and you can see what kind of a finish you see from there. That is called a skip trial texture. Now, that you have finished texturing your drywall sample here and your patch and you were wondering if you could save this room from being repainted, it is possible that you can take the piece that we have cut out earlier, take it down to a local paint store and have a computerized match done of the paint and repaint that wall only. That would save a lot of time and effort if you are into needing to paint the whole room. If I was going to be repainting this wall, I would definitely repaint the whole, entire surface of this wall possibly, just needing one gallon to do the wall or whatever. It would not take a lot of effort. It would already be masked then I could say, you just have to come in and paint the whole, entire wall. One of the most important things is to wait until this patch and repairs are a 100% dry making sure that they are thoroughly, before you actually, put any kind of paint or primer on these patches, you make sure that you do not seal the wet mud underneath with the paint. Now, we are going to show you how to match the existing texture which is a spray knockdown texture. This is a drywall texture hopper. Go ahead and turn it on. If you do a good job masking, it will be a less cleanup at the end. So, now this is an idea to show you what kind of texturing that you can do use to feather the patch end first and then spray the entire wall to there again, take away and not see patches through when you want to go ahead and finish your painting.
