Scott Elbertson: Hello! I am Scott and with the Automotive Service Garage in Alexandria, Virginia. Today, I am going to be showing you how to maintenance your car's battery. We will go over jump starting your car, cleaning your battery cables, replacing your battery and testing your battery. Before we get started, we will need to get a few tools. You will wrenches, pliers and sockets. Tools would vary per vehicle. Let's go over a few safety issues before we begin. Batteries contain acid and it can be very dangerous. Therefore eye protection should always be warned. Gloves are also a good idea. Always remember to remove any dangling jewellery or rings that you have on before you maintenance a battery. Remember, always use caution when working around batteries. Now, let me tell me a little about myself. I am a graduate of the Lincoln Technical Institute in Maryland with 30 years of automotive experience. I have been certified as the master technician and I have been here at the Automotive Service Garage for one year.
