Chris Bunch: Hey, it's Chris Bunch from Alpine Ski Shop here in Sterling, Virginia. We are going to be going over how to purchase ski and snowboard equipment. When you first walk into a ski shop the salesperson is going to ask you some questions. This is how we determine what ski will be correct for you. Some of the questions to be prepared to answer are how many days of the year do you ski? Do you have skis now? What did you like about them or didn't like about them? Where do you do most of your skiing? Is it on trail, is it off trail, is it the terrain park? Where you do most of your skiing? Is it east coast, is it west coast? Where do you want to go with your skiing? Do you want to improve or you are happy where you are and what do you want the ski to do for you? These are some of the questions to be prepared to answer when coming into purchase a pair of skis. Next, we are going to go over how to choose the correct ski for you.
