Host: When should I begin planning my honeymoon?

Melinda Webb: I get a lot of clients that start planning their honeymoon pretty late into the wedding planning process and the honeymoon should actually be one of the first things. When you set a date, you should start planning your honeymoon for several reasons because destinations and hotels book up early. We have a lot of people traveling these days. So, it's harder and harder to get very last minute deal. So, that opens up the destination for you. Also, too it gives you a better idea of budgeting and what to save for and what to work towards and then also it helps you plan the honeymoon along with your wedding date because as we will discuss later, that's going to greatly affect your choice of destinations.
