Host: Why is a honeymoon important?

Melinda Webb: This is one of my favorite questions. I think the honeymoon is the most important part of the wedding because there gets to be a point in the planning of a wedding that all you communicated together about are place settings and who can sit next to who and colors and china patterns. Your honeymoon is a chance to rest from what for most people is a fulltime second job for the better portion of the year. You get to get real acquainted with each other and remember why you actually got married in the first place because at some point, the wedding takes on a life of its own and the honeymoon is there to remind you that there is a marriage coming after.
