Host: What should I budget for on the honeymoon?

Melinda Webb: On honeymoon, I think that is important to budget for experiences that you simply have to have and I also think it's to pre-book those early before you get to the destination but one of the things that you will run into even in all inclusive resort, the resort is all inclusive, the amenities at the resort are all inclusive but the destination is not all inclusive in that.

So, if you want to have any tours, any active adventures within a destination, if you want to do any sightseeing you probably want to budget for that. Also, to everyone who wants a place to get off the resort and just have a nice meal in a little local restaurant to get a flavor of the culture, so you do want to pay a little bit extra money for that. It's also important to know whether or not your destination requires a departure tax and when you leave that's usually payable in cash. So, you definitely want to save some U.

S. dollars for when you leave from the airport. Depending on the destination they will take a credit card in some places for example, New Zealand, on other places like the Dominican Republic it is cash only. Some destinations will require tourist carts too when you arrive. So, just bed prepared for all the little things that might pop in and surprise you.
