Hi, my name is James Frey. I am the owner of the American Literary Press. We are a Baltimore based book publisher that has published books by more than 1,300 first time authors over the past 20 years. Today, I am going to be answering questions on how first time authors can embark on writing a book and then the necessary steps to take to see their book published.
Before we get started let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a graduate of Dartmouth College and I spent most of my 40 year working life as a Senior Manager with Fortune 50 Corporations as well as a variety of entrepreneurial ventures that I have owned. In 2001, I published my own industry targeted, 'How-to Book' based on my experience with both big and small businesses. That book generated $25,000 in book sales. Also, I am really proud of my 86 year old father's autobiography which American Literary Press published in 2006 just before his passing. Now, we are going to discuss how you might want to approach writing your book and subsequently, the various aspects, options and considerations to get your book published.
