Gloria MacDonald: My name is Gloria MacDonald and I am a dating and relationship expert. I have a dating service called Perfect Partners and we are talking about this really important topic of interracial and intercultural relationships. In this particular section are tips on how to make those relationships work.
Host: Are there tips to making an interracial or intercultural relationship work any differently than any other relationship?
Gloria MacDonald: The tips to making an interracial, intercultural relationship work really aren't any different from any other relationship. The thing with this type of relationship is you are going to have to work extra special hard at it and in any relationship, I believe it's truly about understanding the other person as much as we possibly can and really understanding and truly appreciating that we are different and that we are not trying to change the other person into being what we are. We are not trying to make them like us. We are trying to really cherish and appreciate the differences and love that person for who they are and the more you can understand them in terms of why they are different and what makes them different and how they are different, the more I believe you can truly appreciate them and love them.
