Host: Why is swaddling important?

Dr. Ann Kellams: Well, I think it's important for the parent sanctity because it is a very valuable tool for soothing a baby. So I think they feel more safe and secure when they are warm and snuggled and held and the blanket being wrapped around them in the swaddling fashion can make them feel very, very calm and at ease and safe.
