Host: If a woman is planning to get pregnant, how should she prepare her body? Dr. John Schmitt: It's a great question. I think it's a lot of common sense though you should be in the best shape that you can be in. I think you should take time to think about what you are eating and what you are taking into your body, your exercise level, your sleep patterns, your stress levels and just be as healthy as you can be. I think you should have a regimen of regular exercise and eat a good balanced diet and just feel good. You want to feel as good as you can feel in anticipation to being pregnant.
