Host: Should a woman in her third trimester consider certain kinds of clothes? Dr. John Schmitt: Yeah, I think the operative word there is comfort. They need to have comfortable clothes. I don't think you need to necessarily go to a designer or a pregnancy boutique to get those, but good, comfortable, loose fitting clothes are wonderful. Then other than that I have no real advice about clothes. I think constrictive garments don't feel good and tight shirts and things maybe irritating to stretch skin and obviously, good supporting bras and things like that are important but other than that, whatever they are comfortable wearing. One more thing is good comfortable shoes, really important to have good, comfortable shoes. Avoid high heels because of the balance and you don't you sprain your ankle in pregnancy and things like that.
