Rob Carson: Hi, my name is Carson. I am a radio personality also a gourmet cook, self-taught and I am here to demystify things you might otherwise not try and make cooking simple. We are doing Guac of Ages today. Alright, so we are going to need here today is six nice avocados, red onion, a jalapeno, some cumin, some chili powder, some nice tomatoes, some fresh cilantro and lime juice and your favorite hot Sauce as well as a little bit of salt and pepper. As far as tools we are going to need, a nice cutting board, a pairing knife, a whisk, a wooden spoon, a non-reactive bowl that means a bowl that is not metal. You don't want lime juice in metal. It causes a chemical reaction, it could destroy your home, no I am just kidding actually, it just disflavors (ph) the Guac and of course, a nice rocker knife. Let's get started to make some Guac of ages.

Stainless steel is a common material for mixing bowls, and is also non-reactive. the idea that metal = reactive is false.
