With over 12 years of stamping and craft experience, I've learned that one thing is for certain...there is always something new to create and share. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I've been recognized as one of the top demonstrators of the year each of my 11 years with the company. This is attributed to my wonderful customers and exciting and talented stamping team. I also give thanks to the stamping industry's fresh art designs and products. Stamping is great for those with little time (you can create something beautiful in minutes!), for those with tight budgets (making cards saves money over buying cards), and for those of all ages. I've enjoyed demonstrating many stamping techniques to thousands of people in workshops, stamp camps, and at several conventions. It is always my desire to show something fun and new. I love to tell new stampers that I am a former tax accountant. Everyone has a level of creativity, some more than others. With stamps, anyone can create gorgeous and simple projects! I am a great model of "if I can do this, so can you." Enjoy and Have Fun!

Christina Crawford: Hi! I am Christina Crawford and I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 12 years. This video is titled How to Make Create Great Adorable Baby Invitations and Baby Announcements. So, please watch and have fun. In this segment I am going to show you how to create beautiful, its kind of like save-the-date cards, but it's basically saying you-are-expecting-a-baby card. It let's everybody know the great news and let's them get ready for it and get them all excited. So it's kind of like a save-the-date card, but it's actually an expecting baby announcement, that you are expecting a baby. So it's fun to do that.

Now, when you want to go ahead and do that, it doesn't have to be a full card, it could be a post card. It's nice if you want to use some vellum or some card stock, print your information off on the computer and then cut them up and you can use beautiful cardstock to embellish that. So just as an example this one says we are delighted to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family. Little baby Miller is due to arrive in October. Now I am Christina Crawford, but I said little baby Miller because I didn't want anybody to think little baby Crawford is coming. So, just as an example, little baby Miller is coming. So we are going to go ahead and show you how you can embellish and celebrate that little baby Miller is on his or her way. So because it's his or her and they don't know you can use definitely neutral baby colors like pastels, like the purple and the yellow look beautiful together. If you know you are expecting a boy or a girl of course you can go with the pink or the blue. I would have on that title, just put a little bit of tape there and I am going to tie a bow right on top of it and when you are using vellum, you can see right through it. So that's why I am going to take this whole punch and just punch a couple of holes inside that and that is going to create a nice parallel punch, right there, together, and I am going to use some white ribbon. And again it's pretty neutral. This is celebrating that you are expecting a boy or a girl. And so what I will do is just very easily take a flat bow and show you that, if you didn't see my segment on How to do a Flat Bow before, I will just give you another quick lesson here. But you are going to put the ribbon so it comes to the bottom. Crisscross that, you should have enough of a gap and then you pull the opposite side back through again. I love these because you don't have to spend any extra postage when you mail that it's nice, flat, it look so cute, very cute for baby. Once you have that done, you can go ahead and trim it off to the sides that you really want to keep and it gets rid of those straight edges.

Now, this is pretty basic, its using some fun colored card stock. If you do want to embellish a little bit and do some stamping, I have this cute little baby safety pin and well I guess it's like a diaper pin. It's has been a long time so have to remember those things. And I am taking it on the same color and I just going to stamp repeatedly, little safety pins all over the place, little diaper pins, whatever you want to call them. It's going to give it a little bit of texture and embellishment. And you can see that I am re-inking it every time and that is because when you cover it with the vellum it's really going to be very subtle. So if you stamped once, and then twice, you are really not going to be able to see that through. But this baby pin will show right through and give you a little bit more of a creative flair. Let me get some tape right there, you want to get some tape that bow and it will also add some texture. Let me give it a little special look to your expecting baby card and so here it is right here. Again if you are expecting a little girl, you can go ahead and this is actually a birth announcement, but you can go ahead and use these colors and you can see all these stamped underneath here and then when you put the vellum on top again it just gives it a really nice layer or texture and touch of creativity. So have fun. In the next clip, I am going to show you how to so some birth announcements, so stay tuned for that, thanks.
