Brian Tucci: Hello, my name is Brian Tucci. We are at State of Confusion Skate Park in Maryland. I am teaching you intermediate skateboard skills. The skill we are going to learn right now is the Kickflip. The Kickflip basically, is the trick that everybody asks me to learn. It's not necessarily intermediate trick but it is definitely something you need to learn early on because it takes a long time to master. Basically, once you have got your Ollies down, you should be ready to move on to the Kickflip. So now that we have got our Ollies down, we are going to set our foot really similar to how you would for an Ollie basically with your foot in the center of the tail and you are going to position your front foot, the flip foot with the ball of your foot towards the edge of the board. You are going to want to make sure that your weight is centered and your board is level. As you start to kick your tail down, you are going to drag your foot out just like you would for an Ollie and as it reaches the nose of your board, you are going to kick it up and over the nose and flip your foot out. The flip motion is very important because that's what makes the word flip. So you are really going to want to flex your foot up and snap it off the top. That's the key to the Kickflip. Now once you have got the flip down and the board is going all the way over, you are going to have to learn how to jump on it. So my suggestion would be to try flipping the board to the ground and then stepping on it. Eventually, once you have got the motion and how to flip the board in time when you catch it, you will be able to do it.

Then now here it is the whole motion. Alright, so that's basically how we do the Kickflip. The next skateboarding skill we are going to do is the Heelflip.
