Host: Should I take prep class or have one on one tutoring for the SAT?

Laura Rheinauer: Whether you take a prep class or do one on one tutoring is really your decision. I encourage you though to think about how do you learn best? Do you like to be a group and feed off other people; ask a question and hear a couple of different answers from folks in the group or do you like to get that individual attention. Do you get distract in the group. If so, probably a group class is not going to be for you. If you have specific questions, you really want to focus on critical reading. You just have never been graded, reading long passages and answering questions. You might want to do one on one prep because in group classes there is not a lot of room to talk about your specific problem instead it's; these are the main issues. These are the topics we are going to cover. You have to just step in the line. So whether you do a group class or one on one it's really your decision. I do encourage you though to make the most of it. There is no magic here and no magic answer for acing the SAT. Whatever prep you do it takes work and you have to practice.
