Hi! I am Franklin Taggart. I am a guitar player and a guitar teacher. I have played the guitar now for over 30 years. Today, I would like you to show you the parts of an Acoustic Guitar, the parts of an Electric guitar and I am also going to show you how to use an electronic tuner to tune your guitar. In addition, we are going to learn a couple of techniques to tune a guitar if you don't happen to have an electronic tuner. So, you are going to need to have a guitar. You are going to need to have a Pick, if you play with a Pick. You also are going to need to have a tuner. Thats all you are going to need to get started playing the guitar. So, here we go. Lets get started. The parts of the guitar have similar names as the parts of the human body. This end of the guitar, we have got the head. On the sides of head, we have tuning keys. Slung part right here is called the neck. On the front of the guitar neck, through out the neck we've got a small plastic piece that strings cross right here, its called the Nut and these wires and spaces that go across the front of the neck, are called Frets and that is called the Fret board.

This is the body of the guitar and the body of the guitar, the top of the body has a sound hole in it and also a bridge piece. In the bridge piece there are the sting pegs and a small plastic piece that goes into the bridge piece that the strings cross, called the bridge of the guitar. Those are the parts of the Acoustic Guitar. Now, we are going to be looking at an electronic guitar to see which parts are on the electric.
