Hi! I am Franklin Taggart. I am a guitar player and a guitar teacher. Now, we are going to be learning how to tune a guitar with an electronic tuner. First step is to turn the tuner on. Push the little red button and the tuner is now on. As you can see my speaking voices are already activating the tuner. We are going to start with the first guitar string and this is a note E and when I play the string you are going to see a little E flash up in the corner of the screen there. What we can see there is that the guitar note itself is just a little bit flat because the needle and the red light are little bit on the left hand side of the screen. So, I am just going to tighten my string a little bit. Here we go, we are into tune now with E string for string E. Second string is B, and thats running just a little bit sharp, so we are going to just loosen the guitar tuning tag a little bit and now its in tune. Now, we are going to play the third string which is a G note and that one is in tune, well, its a little bit flat. That one is sharp, so I am going to pull it back down again. The next note, the forth string is D. We are now going to tune the D string and that was in tune. The next guitar string is A, and its a just a little bit sharp and the last string, the sixth string is E, just a touch flat, I am going to barely tighten up and now our guitar should be in tune. The next step that you need to take is to play a chord that uses all six strings like an E Minor of a G. in this case, we are going to use in E Minor. First finger goes on the second Fret of the fifth string. The second finger goes on the second Fret of the forth string and then you strum all six guitar strings and that sounds like its in tune. Thats how you use an electronic tuner to tune an acoustic guitar.
