Sasha Correia: Hi, my name is Sasha Correia and I have been a cheerleading coach for over ten years and today, I am going to teach you how to be a cheerleader. First we will go over to some basic cheer motions and I will show you how to do those with the proper technique then we will go over some cheer jumps and third, we will go over a sideline cheer. After that we will go over some showmanship and how to have a good presence as a cheerleader. Then we will walk through a tryout and I will give you some tips on how to impress the judges. First I want to go over a few safety tips before we start and you really, you want to make sure that you are wearing fitted clothing and something that is easy to move in. You also want to make sure you have supportive athletic shoes on and that you dont wear any jewellery like necklaces or earrings that can get in your way while you are cheering.
Let me tell you one more thing you also want to make sure that you stretch properly and that you warm up before you do any cheerleading. So now let me tell you a few things more about myself. I have cheered and been a cheer coach for over ten years and I have taught cheerleading from elementary level all the way to the college level and I have also judged several tryouts and National Cheer Competitions. I was a cheerleader all through college and also for several All-Star Pro Teams and I have also been a cheerleader for TV commercials and film including Bring it on Again.
