Mr. Francis has over 14 years of experience in health care and wellness services. Prior to founding an evidence-based health-benefits and active lifestyle company, he helped grow a small wellness company to become the nation’s leading provider of wellness solutions, resulting in a $450 million acquisition by a national health services firm. Mr. Francis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from University of California at Davis.

Mr. Francis’ technical experience includes clinical research at the UC Davis Human Performance Laboratory, sports specific testing of VO max and sub-max levels, anaerobic and lactic acid threshold testing, multiple and hydrostatic techniques for body composition analysis, sport-specific biomechanical analysis, diet analysis using heart rate for assessing individualized metabolic base, comprehensive blood analysis in endurance athletes, injury rehabilitation and electrical stimulation and ultrasound physical therapy techniques, sports psychology, fitness and sports training prescription as a UC Davis Adult Fitness Program Trainer and at the UC Davis Cardiac Rehab Clinic. He served as a sports and product development consultant and sponsored-athlete for PowerBar, SportsStreet Marketing (GU), MLO Sports Nutrition, and Zand Herbal Formulas.

Mr. Francis is also an elite endurance athlete whose sports history includes professional and elite competition in cycling, skiing, running, and triathlon. He was a top US finisher at the 2004 Los Angeles Marathon.
