Host: Do most couples know when it is time to get engaged?

Rev. Bill Cochran: Well, we would think so. But that is not the case. Lot of times couples are dealing with a lot of different issues and they are trying to sort out all those issues like do we have our finances together? Is everything right in order the way we want it? Have I attained the goals that I set out to attain before I finally get married? In fact I have found a number of folks in this area that are so wrapped up in getting accredited or taking care of getting everything they need to get be successful in there work life that sometimes they are 40, even 45 years before they say, Oh now it is time for me to think about this. Then they face difficulties that some of us that got married younger do not have to face and they find themselves asking these questions.
