Host: How will we know it is the right time to get engaged?

Rev. Bill Cochran: Again many people feel like, well that should be a natural thing. It should just automatically happen and you hear stories all the time from couples who say, we just knew it was the right time. I hear those practically on a daily basis. But often also I hear in talking to couples that were saying, Well we think it might be right, but we are not quite sure. I always like to say to these couples, there are lot of different ways of finding out. We will discuss some of those, but I would like to say to them when things seem to be lining up the way you had planned then it is time to start getting serious about it. But also I remember many years ago when I was facing that, some of the subject matter was would you have enough money? Can you afford to do this and I discovered that maybe I would have never quite have enough money or I would never be able to quite afford it, but there is a time when you just need to take the plunge. Those are some of the things that I like working with couples on, just helping them to realize is this the time to just move ahead and make something of this relationship?
