Host: When should we book our wedding officiant?

Bill Cochran: If you read the literature, it would advice you that it is good to book your officiants about 10 to 12 months out from your wedding, but you are saying, Wait a minute, we are getting married in three months and we have not done anything yet. So my answer to you is today or maybe tomorrow, but dont wait too long. Wedding officiants whether it is your pastor priest rabbi or whether you are looking for a full time officiant, the schedules fill up very rapidly and so you want to book in as quickly as possible. I feel very bad when I ask one to call me and you are like a month or two out from your wedding, they said, Well, that is right we need a wedding officiant, and I cannot help them and they are desperate saying, But do you know anybody? They have called around a lot. So do not put that off. It is the person you really want to work with as you plan towards your marriage.
