Host: Will we get to see and approve the wedding ceremony content before the wedding?

Rev. Bill Cochran: You better ask your officiant that. A lot of officiants including this one, dont have it all put together until maybe the day before the wedding and sometimes I discover that a couple wants to see it a week or two ahead of the ceremony. When they ask I do my best to put together as much as I can but often the writing of their story which is really my part of a homily, I don't do sometimes until after the rehearsal. Sometimes I will go to the rehearsal with an outline of it, but it's not ready until after the rehearsal and sometimes I will go home after the rehearsal and totally re-write it based upon the notes I have taken from their different participants in the wedding.

So I like to see the wedding ceremony as being this living evolving thing, but I also want to make sure it's planned in advance and so every officiant operates little differently. You would want to ask them how much of it you would be able to see if any of it? I think they will be as accommodating as they possibly can for you. But on the other hand, I do like to surprise the couple if I can with the details I talk about with their own story.
