Host: How do we get a certified copy of the Marriage Certificate?

Rev. Bill Cochran: You have to ask for it yourself at the courthouse. It is very important because I explain this all the time and occasionally -- there are a lot things happening at your wedding and you are going to forget so we are dealing with this before time now. Occasionally I get this question, where is my certified copy? As if they expected I am suppose to get them a certified copy. I would if I could, but only you can go to the courthouse and ask for a certified copy. Now let me just say, you can go to the courthouse and pick it up or most packets that you receive now that have your marriage license in it, will also give you a form to fill out that you can send in the mail for requesting a certified copy.

But you will need to make sure you have enough certified copies to go for the different places where you need to make changes.
