Host: What are some ways of decorating with flowers?

Gerry Rogers: When people start thinking about a wedding, the first thing they typically think about is the bouquet, the Brides bouquet, Bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnires for the men, corsages for the women, but there are lots of other ways of incorporating flowers as well. For your ceremony, whether it's outdoors or in a church, you want to create a focal point and flowers are usually the way that's done. Whether you have two simple arrangements on stands or an elaborate arch, those are some ways of decorating with flowers for your ceremony. It becomes that much more festive when you start putting flowers on the ends of the chairs going down the aisle adding a runner with rose petals. These really set the tone using your flowers. Then of course for your reception your table centerpieces, whether you do all low, a mix of low arrangement and tall dramatic arrangement, these are also ways to decorate. You might consider putting flowers on your cake, whether you just crown the top with flowers or have a very elaborate cascade going down the cake. These are great ways of incorporating flowers, and then lastly your Place Card Table arrangement and it's a way to have a place to have an arrangement, that really sets the mood in tone for your event.
