Host: Are there things that are out of my florist control that I should be aware of?

Gerry Rogers: Flowers are natural things and so unpredictable weather patterns and things like that may affect the flowers in a way that is beyond your florist control. Flowers also don't come in dye lots. So, you have to be a little forgiving for the kinds of colors that they come in. Your florist doesn't make the flowers, they order and arrange the flowers. So it's just important to remember that in thinking about your wedding flowers. Obviously, your florist is very experienced with dealing with flowers, they know what's out there and available, but there maybe just some fine things that you are not aware of that are just beyond the florist control. Also if there are things like delivery strikes for airlines, and things like that, natural disasters like hurricane in Thailand that wipes out all of the orchid, definitely beyond your florist control, but they can probably make good suggestion for substitution.
