David Rizzo: Hi, I am Dr. David Rizzo, better known as Dr. Roadmap and I am a professional on Commute Management. I am also an expert on fuel economy. So, today I will be sharing with you some pointers on how to improve your gas mileage. I will go over how to fill up your car at the gas station? How to drive your car to improve your fuel economy? I will cover basic maintenance to improve gas mileage and also how to choose an energy efficient vehicle. Did you know that one of the single biggest thing you can do is make sure your tires are properly inflated? It does two things. First of all, it gets you much better gas mileage and secondly it's safer. You have less chance of a blow out when your tire is fully inflated. My knowledge on all these tips on getting good gas mileage comes from first of all 20 years in the transportation business. Starting with a credential from UCLA in Transportation Demand Management which is $5 word for ride sharing. Secondly, I am the author of two books. 'Survive the Drive! How to Beat Freeway Traffic' and 'Freeway Alternates.

' I am also a commuter columnist for a large daily newspaper and I have written over 400 columns on commuting and traffic. I have also been a traffic reporter, both in the helicopter and on the ground in the studio and I have also worked as a ride share planner, drawing up ride sharing plans, helping companies get their employees to work in a fuel efficient manner, done this in both coasts and I have been featured as a transportation expert on over a 100 television and radio programs such as the 'Today show' and NPR's 'All Things Considered.
