Yolanda Holmes: Hello, I am Yolanda Holmes, a Board Certified Dermatologist in downtown Washington, DC. Today, we are going to talk about how to properly care for and protect your skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body. If you care for it properly, it will be healthy and have a very youthful appearance. On video today, we will go over the basic structure of the skin, how to properly cleanse and moisturize your skin, we will also talk about sunscreens. Our final segment will be on Microdermabrasion. It is a low risk, very safe procedure and can be performed in 30 minutes or less. The tools and materials are the following. A cleanser, a moisturizer and a sunscreen. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and I am member of the Washington, DC Dermatological Society. I am on the attending staff of two local hospitals where I help to train the residents. Let's get started.
