Joe Wise:Hi, my name is Joe Wise. I am owner of Buildwise Construction in Orlando, Florida. Today, we are going to go over some problems in the tub area that need to be corrected. One of the areas we see right here is a crack that has developed between the tub and the tub deck. Now what that will do is if the water is allowed to get in there and get underneath the tub, it's going to get into the substrate and the substrate will delaminate on you and you have big problem in up having to replace it. Another area that we see here is just our places where the caulk itself has just turned loose of the tub and the tub deck and it's not adhered properly. That will also cause you problems later on. So you want to make sure you get that corrected. We can see over here an example of an area that's been re-caulked, but it was not caulked in time. It was -- this area shows some damage where it actually, did get some water underneath it and the substrate underneath that is delaminating which causes it to bulge and it needs to be replaced. So you want to look at all around your tub and enclosures and make sure that any area that's got a crack on it gets caulked properly. Now we are going to show you how to prep this for caulking.
