Feng Shui Tips for Attracting Love - TV's in the Bedroom

Carol Olmstead: I am Carol Olmstead and this is Feng Shui tips for attracting love. Now let's talk about your television set. This is kind of a controversial issue in Feng Shui because classical Feng Shui would tell you not to have one in your bedroom. When it's off it's a big dark eye staring at you in bed. When it's on, it's a very distracting image keeping you from doing what you should do in a bedroom which is rest and romance and so some schools of Feng Shui don't want you to have one.

I like to take a more realistic approach because I know we all love to have our TVs in the bedroom. I suggest you keep a small TV in your bedroom so it's not distracting. I use to tell people to place them in Armoire and close the Armoire at night but with our new flat screen designs that doesn't work. So again, think about a smaller TV. This is a beautiful TV but it's much too big for this bedroom because this kind of TV has a gathering influence. People want to sit around it and watch that's not what you want going on in your bedroom. So move this TV down to your family room or den or living room and replace it with a smaller TV. But I understand reality if you have to have your brand new big screen TV in your bedroom then at least consider at night before you go to bed, change it to a music station so you can fall asleep to gentle music instead of the evening news. That's much more romantic.
