Jeff Glazer: My name is Jeff Glazer, I am with Griffon Preparation Services and I am going to talk to you about GMAT scores and business school admissions.
Host: What score do I need to get on the GMAT in order to get into school?
Jeff Glazer: What score you need varies widely with schools you are applying to, the more competitive schools have an average GMAT score of usually around 700 or a little bit above but because there is over to 200 business schools in the US alone, any number of scores will get you into a wide range of schools. The best way to find out is to check with the schools themselves and find out what there median scores were in past years.

Also a lot of schools will publish what they call the 25th to 75th percentile meaning the middle 50% of people they admitted last year and that will give you the best idea of what kind of score you need to get into those schools.
