Host: Is there any advantage to canceling my GMAT score?
Jeff Glazer: Because business schools will generally take you highest score, there is usually very little reason to cancel your score because even if you dont like it you can go back and take it. If you cancel it, you have to go back and take it. So, regardless to whether you cancel or just get a score you dont like it, you will have to go back and take it. However, if you keep your score and you did better than you thought then you can be done. So, generally there is no good reason to cancel, also due to the adaptive nature of the test its going to keep getting harder for every test taker and so a lot of people feel like they are doing very poorly because the questions are getting harder and harder and harder. However, its really hard to gauge how you are doing, so a lot of people may actually be canceling perfectly good scores out of fear whereas in realty had they kept it, they would be all happy and done.
