    <p>Host: What are healthy food choices for weight gain?</p><p>Taras Raggio: For maximum nutrition a person who is underweight needs to consume foods from all food groups and to incorporate foods from a variety of nutrients foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains, for example for an underweight person, an underweight person should consume at least 9 servings of fruits and 6 servings of vegetables per day; fruits include berries, melons and pears, vegetables include carrots, kale and lentil. The whole grains on the other hand help with cholesterol and weight maintenance and a person who is underweight can get their whole grains from food such as barley, oats and bran. </p>
