Frankie Dell: Hi, I am Frankie Dell, I am a professional Tennis instructor, you are watching how to play at the net. Next, I will demonstrate the volley. So, now we know why we want to play at the net, let's talk about some of the shots we are going to hit once we get to the net. The main shot at the net is a volley. Now, a volley is a shot that you hit out of the air before the ball bounces. I hear lot of people misuse this word to mean when they hit the ball back and forth with there partner say, Oh, we had a good volley going. You really mean you had good rally going. To hit the ball back and forth with your partner, back and forth is a rally, you had a good rally going.
A volley is a shot that you hit out of the air before it bounces, like a volleyball player. Volleyball players hit he ball out of the air before it bounces. Now a volley is a relatively simple shot compared to the regular forehands and backhands you hit, back at the baseline. A volley is just basically a punch, you just take the racket back slightly and you just punch forward, on the back hand same thing punch forward, forehand, backhand it's pretty simple. I even usually teach little kids, the first thing I teach them is to stand at the net and hit a volley because it's a little easier for them to hit a volley, a very short punch than a big winding forehand and backhand.

These clips are too shorts and each time I have to watch the ads for 30 sec for each clip. it is too much. Can you make it longer by combining some clips together? Thanks.
