I am Bob Burton, Rubik's Cube Expert, and I am teaching you how to solve a Rubik's Cube. Now that you know how to solve a Rubik's cube, lets go through a full solve, and I will explain each step as I go. The first step is to solve the white cross. I first find the piece to line up with the orange center of the Rubik's cube. Then I place that piece up to the white with one move. I am now looking for more pieces where I can line up with the center that it belongs with. First I found green, I moved it up one step. I now found blue, lined it up with the center, and put that one up to match the white. The red is actually in place but backwards. So, I bring it down. It belongs here in between the blue and the green. So, I move it over, so that I can place the red edge in place and then line it back up. Next, I am solving the white corners of the Rubik's cube. I am putting the red, blue corner underneath where it belongs. Move the white side away, match it, and up. I am looking for more Rubik's cube corners that I can solve. The red, green one I see next, away, over and up. That freed the orange, blue one, line it up, away, over and up. I actually got one for free there, that was already in place. I now turn the Rubik's cube upside down and I am looking for edges to solve. First I see the red, blue edge, I face red, move it to the right, take the corner it belongs with, up, away, down, face the other side, put the block in front, up in place, and down. I look for another edge. This time I find red, green. We move it to the left because green is on the right, up, away and down. Look at the other face, put the block in front of me, up, over, down. I then find the blue, orange edge; face blue, orange is on the left, so I move to the right. The corner it belongs with, up, away and down. Face orange, the block goes in front, up, into place, and down. The last piece is the green, orange. Its already in place, so I move it to left, up, over and down. Again, face orange, block goes in front, up, over and down. I have got the yellow cross for free. Chances are in the course of solving the puzzle you do get a free step here and there. I am now looking for Rubik's cube corners that I can rotate three of them and keep the other one unrotated to have one solved at the end. If I try it here, this one will be wrong, this one will be wrong, this one will be right, and this one will stay wrong. So, this is the right place; up, over, down, over, up, top twice, down. I then put the solved corner in front left and do it again; up, over, down, over, up, top twice, down. I am now putting one solved edge of the Rubik's cube in the back. In fact, orange is already solved, and the other three are wrong; down twice, left, up, left, down, right, down, right, down, left, down. I will do it one more time; down, down, left, up, left, down, right, down, right, down left, down. The edges are now solved, and I need to solve the corners of the Rubik's cube. I don't have any three piece blocks. So, I will just do the algorithm I know; down, front, down, back twice, up, fix the front, down, back twice, right twice. The solved block goes in the front left. Do it again; down, front, down, back twice, up, fix the front down, back twice, right twice. The Rubik's cube is now solved.
