Gloria MacDonald: In terms of meeting for the second date, again, if you have met the person through online dating or dating service and this is truly only the second time in your life that you are seeing this person, then meet in a public place. Do not get the man to come pick you up at your home. Meet the man at the restaurant and make sure you have your own transportation home. You just want to be careful, you want to be aware of your own personal safety. If this is someone who you have known through work or you have known through friends of friends or through a family member or something and you are quite comfortable with knowing who this person is, then fine, have the guy come pick you up at your home if you are comfortable with that and the other thing always to think about is drinking and making sure that you can get home safe and sound if you are going to be drinking and not drinking and driving. So really, you need to plan those things out a little bit ahead of time, but if anything and on the side of being a bit more cautious, just for your own personal safety, until you really know this man.
