Christina Crawford: Once you have those panels done, we are going to use the paper-piercer to punch a hole and to take a brad. This is my crafters tool-kit, I love it, I am going to use my hammer in a moment so, I put a little pink scarf around it, so, my husband doesnt take it from me and I have a paper-piercer, which is very sharp, its little pointy thing thats going to pop my hole and I have a mouse-pad, well thats what I call it anyway, but its just a little spongy pad. I am going to slide that under the first two panels and make sure that its straight and next take my paper-piercer and I am going to just pop a couple of holes on the right and the left side where my little glue dot was. Thats going to go right through the ribbon and its going to go right through the cardstock.

Next, I am taking these gold brads and I just really push them right in actually, they are kind of going into the mat, and thats okay, at least I know its going through, and then I lift that up and these are really tiny brads, they are great for decorative purposes, great for doing your scrap-booking in your cards. They look a lot like maybe office supply store-brads that are used for office reasons and stampers and scrap-bookers found out, oh! These are really great and so, now the industry makes really, cute, tiny ones, really easy to use and great for embellishments.

I am just going to do the bottom of the first panel, just finish that and then I'll show you what I am going to do with the hammer. So, you do want to get a couple of brads down here and it looks pretty too. Now, brads come in different colors, so, you can do a color brad, these are just your standard gold brads and I like them for this.

You dont want it to be too much embellished and then it will take away from the verses and also the scrap-book pictures that you are going to use so, you do want to keep that simple. After you have the brads done and of course, you would do the next panel, as well, you are going to flip it over on the back, and just straighten out those brads. You want them all to be going in the same direction and thats just a type A person, I want them all to go pretty in the same way and then you are going to take the hammer and just tap down and these will flatten the brads and you know what, it makes it really easy to take that and to fold them up in an accordion style and they will fit into the tin.

If you dont hammer them down, the brads are too bulbousy, if thats the word. They are too round and then they will touch each other and you'll have too much and it wont fit into your tin. So, after you have all that done, I am going to put this aside and then the magic of television, I will show you the next step. I am going to put that aside right now and then show you the finished project.
